Standard and Limited Edition Hex Chest designs for Elderwood Academy
Elderwood Academy’s products specialize in a high degree of customizations when customers order them through their web store. Customers can choose a wide variety of wood types, icon and border designs that befit their DD characters or campaigns. As Elderwood Academy’s designer, I create icons and borders for the web store as well as limited and special edition designs.
As part a continued effort to polish Elderwood’s design library, I designed the Jeweler’s border, a new standard border that is applied to the 20+ unique icon designs offered by Elderwood Academy in 2021. My goal was to create a border that accentuates the icons while striking a balance between ornamental and subtle.

Pixel Heart
2022 Valentine’s Day Limited Edition
Aimed at Elderwood’s nerdy customer base, the Pixel Heart design evokes classic 8-bit iconographies found in video games we fell in love with as kids. It was designed with a premium wood pairing in mind that features padauk pixel heart inlaid onto a birds’ eye maple Hex Chest. The design can be scaled down for a lower price point as well.
D&D Character Sheet Promotional Giveaway
Part of a design series that features custom illustration based on customers’ Dungeon and Dragon’s character sheets as well as a Special Edition seal on the bottom. The Ethereal Planes Hex Chest is inspired by Liv, a LVL 10 Divination Wizard who has the power to Astral Project and predict the future.
