Convention display and branding for Elderwood Academy
The QR Cube is a convention display component for Elderwood Academy who travels to tabletop conventions across the United States. It’s an eye-catching and interactive way to present the company’s various social media accounts while blending in with the convention booth’s fantasy book store vibe.
A blend between the digital and physical
Elderwood’s convention booth is highly interactive and this tactile QR Cube is meant to draw intrigue as convention goers wander around the booth while blending into the fantastical vibe of the booth.
The QR cube is accompanied by an art deco inspired stand made out of mahogany veneer. It’s meant to blend into Elderwood’s wizard workshop-like convention booth. I designed this stand within Elderwood’s core competency using the laser cutter and materials available. Despite its intricate look, the design can be easily assembled because of the repetition of parts and hidden instructional lines etched into each piece.
